Yavapai County Attorney Dennis McGrane announced that on January 19th, 2024, Yavapai County Superior Court Judge Krista M. Carman sentenced forty-eight year old Jonathan Paul Klein to ten years in prison for Sexual Exploitation of a Minor under the Age of Fifteen, followed by lifetime sex offender probation for a number of related offenses. Due to the age of the victims, Mr. Klein will have to serve the entire sentence without any possibility of early release.
Yavapai County Attorney Dennis McGrane stated, “I hope the lengthy sentence imposed in this case sends a strong message that Yavapai County is no place for criminals to victimize children. I encourage anyone who is aware that a child might be a victim of a crime to call 911 or report your suspicions to the local police or Sheriff.” County Attorney McGrane also commended the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Department on a thorough and speedy investigation into what happened. The investigation revealed that Klein possessed numerous videos of very young children who were being sexually assaulted by adults.
