On Tuesday, October 24th, Prescott Police Investigators, in a joint investigation with Homeland Security Investigations, executed a search warrant on a local business and residence after an investigation revealed the transmission of pornographic images and videos involving children.
Through the course of the investigation, Investigators arrested 48-year-old Prescott resident, John McKown, on six counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor. McKown made admissions during his interview and additional evidence was located on a computer seized during the search.
McKown was booked into the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office for Sexual Exploitation of a Minor. Currently, this investigation is ongoing and additional charges may be forthcoming due to additional evidence being found on items that were seized during the warrant.
