Get ready for a long weekend, Monday is Labor Day and that means all state, county and local governments will be closed for the holiday.
The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to prepare for heavier traffic on state highways over Labor Day Weekend. ADOT will not schedule any full construction closures along state highways from Friday afternoon to early Tuesday morning. Highways are expected to be busy on both Friday and Monday afternoons. ADOT encourages motorists to check their vehicles, pack their patience and avoid impaired driving of any kind.
