On Tuesday, August 29th around 8:00pm, Flagstaff Fire units were dispatched to Mt. Elden Lookout Trail for a report of an injured hiker. Upon locating the hiker approximately 2 miles up the trail, crews immediately began treating injuries and preparing the patient for the arduous trek down the mountain. After several hours of work combined with the coordinated effort of fire crews and Coconino County Sheriff Search and Rescue, the patient was successfully brought to safety.
