Prescott Fire Department is pleased to announce the promotion of Bill Hickey to the position of Battalion Chief. After an impressive 22 years of service, Hickey is taking on a new role as the B Shift Battalion Chief. 
His fire service began on the Fuels Crew for 2 years before he moved to the Suppression side. Chief Hickey has served as a training officer and technical rescue technician. Chief Hickey has been a guiding force, imparting his expertise to numerous team members. Moving forward, he will be leading the Department’s specialty operations. Chief Hickey’s success is inevitable as he is driven by a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Chief Hickey also has incredible support from his family, his wife and son.
