Over the last week, Cottonwood Police K-9 units conducted interdiction operations on SR260 between Camp Verde and Cottonwood. During those interdiction operations, K-9 Officers conducted multiple traffic stops. During two separate traffic stops on different days, officers seized a total of 29 lbs of Fentanyl pills (Approximately 125,000), and three subjects were arrested and booked into the Yavapai County jail for various narcotics trafficking charges. Detectives assisted in the investigations, and additional suspects, leads, and charges may be identified. The Cottonwood Police Department remains committed to eradicating the importation of large quantities of fentanyl into our community.
