On Friday August 3rd at approximately 9 pm, YCSO deputies responded to S. Posse Trail in Cottonwood for a reported stabbing. Wanda Derby of Cottonwood reportedly began fighting with two people at the home, including striking one man in the face breaking his glasses and kicking a woman in the leg.
A third man tried to stop Derby from any further violence by restraining her from the back, but she still managed to stab him in the arm. The stabbing victim was treated for minor injuries and Derby was arrested and booked for Aggravated Assault and other related charges.
