PV Council approves Classification and Compensation Study recommendations to recruit, retain staff

Thursday night Prescott Valley Town Council approved the results and recommendations of a recently completed Classification and Compensation study.  Earlier this year, the Town contracted with McGrath Human Resources Group to update its plans and policies to enable the Town to better hire and retain employees who will provide excellent service to the community and remain committed to long-term service. The study was conducted due to the Town’s turnover rate for the past two fiscal years. In the 2021/2022 Fiscal Year, turnover was 17.91 percent. In 2021-2022 it rose to 27.17 percent. In addition to ensuring competitive salaries for work being performed, the Town is supporting a high performing team culture by expanding employee training and development, improving employee engagement, supporting collaborative teams in a welcoming environment and implementing leadership development.
