YCSO arrest former dentist for practicing without a license

YCSO arrested 69-year old Denis Froehlich last week for practicing dentistry without a license and aggravated assault. Public Affairs Director Kristin Greene says this is not the first time he has been arrested for the same thing. Greene says deputies were contacted by two victims in Black Canyon City who reported Froehlich charged them for dental work but left them both disfigured and in pain. One victim had 13-teeth removed and the other had 11-faulty dental crowns put on, however Froehlich left before the work was completed. Deputies discovered that not only was he unlicensed but he was on probation for the same crimes in Maricopa County. Greene says in 2019 the Arizona Attorney General charged him for defrauding an 86-year old man with faulty dental work and practicing without a license. His license was pulled in 2013 after failing to respond to multiple investigations about his practices. Deputies seized drugs, dental equipment and several related items from his home. Froehlich and his wife were placed under arrest.
