Community tip leads Cottonwood Police to multiple suspect arrest

Thursday, Cottonwood Police received a report of a stolen credit card that was left in an ATM at One AZ Credit Union. Sergeant Chad Sinn says the victim did not realize the card was there and when she returned to collect it, the card was gone. The following day, someone used it to make $1,600 in fraudulent charges. Officers obtained bank records showing where the card had been used and video footage from the stores. Officials then posted their finding on social media asking for public assistance in locating both suspects. The department quickly received information from the community which led one of the suspects to turn himself in to Jerome Police. 47-year old Oaken Bernheim of Jerome was arrested for his involvement and officers later located and arrested the second suspect, 58-year old Greg Allen of Cottonwood. Both men were booked on multiple charges and remain in custody at this time.
