Camp Verde received $2.5 million in a Land and Water Conservation Fund Grant or LWCF to resume construction at the new Sports Complex. The LWCF State & Local Assistance Program provides matching grants for local and state park projects outside national park boundaries. Public Works is working with their contractor to resume large scale construction on the project. Goals are to have the soccer and football fields ready late this fall with play on the baseball/softball fields in the spring. Design work is underway for the restroom/concession building which will not be finished until later next year.
