Road, trails and Mingus Mountain hang glider launch reopened

Prescott National Forest officials say the contractor that’s been working on thinning trees on 284-acres on Mingus Mountain had to stop due to heavy monsoons and wet conditions. The crew has now moved on to other projects. While the work is on hold, it’s safe to allow hikers into the area to access Forest Road 104 as well as trails 105, 536, 537 and 538; the Mingus Mountain hang glider launch is also open. The work will resume this winter or next spring.
