YCSO recently gave the Life Saving Award to 4-people during a small ceremony. The award was presented to Detention Sgt. Kelsey Hawkins and three officers: John Callaghan, Cameron Morgan and Deputy in Training Tanner Ludwig. The award was given due to their response to an attempted suicide emergency call on April 25-th at the County Jail in Camp Verde. A female inmate was found unresponsive in her cell. After a small battle with the inmate to resuscitate and keep her from hurting herself further, the team regained control of the situation and saved the inmate’s life.
