Monday morning, Flagstaff Fire assisted Game and Fish with the removal of a black bear from a large tree next to the new ADOT building in the city. Crews arrived and realized that the other ladder truck in town would be a safer way to remove the bear because the truck is equipped with a platform on the front. Once tranquilized, fire personal and Game and Fish officers were able to put the bear on the platform and lower it down to the ground safely.
