Plan for lane restrictions and ramp closures on I-40 in Flagstaff through Friday

ADOT says drivers who travel I-40 in Flagstaff should continue to plan for possible long delays while crews conduct pavement preservation work which requires lane restrictions and the installation of a temporary concrete barrier. A full list of all restrictions are posted below:

The following restrictions will occur overnight from 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 1, and ending 6 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 2

  • Westbound I-40 will be narrowed to one lane between Country Club Drive and the junction with I-17 (mileposts 201-195).
  • A 16-foot vehicle-width restriction will be in place.

The following restrictions will occur overnight from 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 31, and ending 6 a.m. Friday, Sept. 3

  • Eastbound I-40 will be narrowed to one lane between the junction with I-17 and Country Club Drive (between mileposts 195-201).
  • A 16-foot vehicle-width restriction will be in place.

The following ramp closures will be in place overnight from 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 1, to 6 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 2

  • Westbound I-40 off- ramp at the I-17 junction (exit 195) will be closed. Drivers can use the westbound off- ramp at Butler Avenue (exit 198)

The following ramp closures will be in place overnight from 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 2, to 6 a.m. Friday, Sept. 3

  • Eastbound I-40 off-ramp at Butler Avenue (exit 198) will be closed. Drivers can use the eastbound off-ramp at Country Club Drive (exit 201).
  • Eastbound I-40 on-ramp at Butler Avenue (exit 198) will be closed. Drivers can use the eastbound on-ramp at Country Club Drive (exit 201)
