YCSO says James or “Bobo” Patton has been taken into custody. Public Affairs Director Kristin Green says Patton was arrested Friday evening after deputies searched an area in Cordes Lakes known as “The Outback” near the Agua Fria River. Patton was wanted on a warrant for the attempted homicide of 45-year old Kenneth Wallace, who he allegedly stabbed after an argument about money in the early morning of Monday August 23-rd. He fled the scene and had been on the run. Investigators learned that Patton frequented the area and sent two deputies and Rescue-1 helicopter to the area to search for him. During the search, Patton surrendered to a deputy who was sitting in a marked car near the area, saying he knew the helicopter would find him. Patton remains in jail on $50,000 bail.
