Last Friday morning, the Prescott Valley Police Department was notified that Juan Manuel Alejandre committed Fraud and Forgery by altering a $5.00 check. He altered the check from $5 to $5,000 and then tried to use the check to resolve three other bad checks he cashed at a market. The other checks totaled $5,800. Last Sunday, police were told that Alejandre was driving a vehicle that had been reported overdue by a rental agency. This past Wednesday he was located and taken into custody.
