ADOT says drivers who use I-40 in Flagstaff to plan for possible long delays while crews continue pavement preservation work requiring lane restriction and the installation of a temporary concrete barrier. A full list of the restrictions is posted below:
The following restrictions will occur overnight from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 26, and ending Tuesday, Aug. 31:
- Westbound I-40 will be narrowed to one lane between Country Club Drive and the junction with I-17 (mileposts 201-195).
- A 16-foot vehicle-width restriction will be in place.
The following restrictions will occur overnight from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 31, and ending Friday, Sept. 3:
- Eastbound I-40 will be narrowed to one lane from the junction with I-17 to Country Club Drive (between mileposts 195-201).
- A 16-foot vehicle-width restriction will be in place.
The following ramp closures will be in place overnight from 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 1, to 6 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 2:
- Eastbound I-40 off-ramp at Country Club Drive (exit 201) will be closed. Drivers can use eastbound off-ramp at Butler Avenue (exit 198).
The following ramp closures will be in place overnight from 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 2, to 6 a.m. Friday, Sept. 3:
- Eastbound I-40 on-ramp at Country Club Drive (exit 201) will be closed. Drivers can use eastbound on-ramp at Butler Avenue (exit 198)
