ADOT drivers who use I-40 in Flagstaff should continue to plan for long delays while crews continue pavement preservation work requiring lane restrictions and the installation of a temporary concrete barrier. Restrictions are posted below:
The following restrictions will occur around-the-clock from 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 5, to 6 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 8:
- Westbound I-40 will be narrowed to one lane between Walnut Canyon Road and Country Club Drive (mileposts 203-202).
- A 16-foot vehicle-width restriction will be in place.
The following restrictions will be in place around-the-clock from 7 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 8, to 6 a.m. Friday, Aug. 13:
- Westbound I-40 will be narrowed to one lane between Walnut Canyon Road and Country Club Drive (mileposts 205-201).
- An 11-foot vehicle-width restriction will be in place.
The following restrictions will be in place around-the-clock from 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 11, to 6 a.m. Friday, Aug. 13:
- Eastbound I-40 will be narrowed to one lane between Country Club Drive and Walnut Canyon Road (mileposts 201-205).
- An 11-foot vehicle-width restriction will be in place.
The following restrictions will occur nightly from 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 5, to 6 a.m. Friday, Aug. 13:
- Westbound I-40 will be narrowed to one lane west of Walnut Canyon Road (between mileposts 205-201).
- A 16-foot vehicle-width restriction will be in place.
The following restrictions will occur nightly from 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 5, to 6 a.m. Friday, Aug. 13:
- Eastbound I-40 will be narrowed to one lane between Country Club and Walnut Canyon Road (mileposts 204-205).
- A 16-foot vehicle-width restriction will be in place.
The speed limit will be reduced to 45 miles per hour in work zones. ADOT advises drivers to slow down and use caution around personnel and equipment while pavement repairs are underway.
