The Heritage Park Zoological Sanctuary in Prescott say Black Bear “Shash” passed away this week. Officials say Shash had been under veterinary treatment for health issues attributed to advance age. Shash was rescued in 1994 as a 2-month-old cub after his mother had been accidentally shot by a hunter. He was hand raised by staff and has been a member of the sanctuary for the last 27-years. A memorial has been set up in front of his enclosure.
Rest In Peace Shash, we will miss seeing you.
