Thursday afternoon, Prescott Police responded to a vehicle versus pedestrian crash on Sheldon Street. Officials say a 75-year old Prescott woman was hit by a car driven by a 78-year old Prescott Valley man as she was crossing the street in a cross walk. The woman suffered a head injury and was taken to YRMC after which she was flown to a Phoenix area hospital. The motorist that struck her was issued a traffic citation. Officials say impairment was not a factor in the crash.
