Tuesday morning, an unmarked Prescott Police vehicle was involved in a two vehicle collision, resulting in significant injuries to the driver of the other vehicle. Lt. Jon Brambila says the police vehicle was rear ended while stopped for a red light. He says the other vehicle, driven by a 32-year old female of Prescott failed to control her car and collided with the rear end of the police vehicle causing major damage to her vehicle and moderate damage to the police vehicle. Brambila says the driver of the other vehicle was found unresponsive initially; she was transported to YRMC for treatment of serious injuries once she regained consciousness. The officer did not suffer any injuries. Impairment does not appear to be a factor in the crash.
