Arrest made in dumped human body parts in Yavapai County

YCSO made an arrest in connection with body parts found in three locations last weekend in the Prescott and Williamson Valley area. Spokesman Dwight D’Evelyn says the investigation lead them to 59-year old Walter Mitchell of Washington. He says Mitchell recently closed his business called Future GenX, which involved the management of cadavers for research. Detectives traced Mitchell from Seattle to the Prescott/Chino Valley area; he was carrying the remains of 5-individuals. He was then traced to Scottsdale where he was arrested. He is jailed on 28-counts of moving and abandoning human body parts. D’Evelyn says they can also now release information on just what was found that lead to the investigation. He says between December 26-th and 27-th they found 26-detached human limbs and 5-human heads. The investigation remains active.
