Chino Valley Unified School District officials are mourning the loss of a school board member. Sherry Brown passed away Wednesday due to heart issues that were not COVID-19 related. Brown has served on the school board since 2011, when she filled a vacancy left by the death of longtime board member Bob Kaecker. She was a longtime educator with a focus on special education and retired from the classroom in 2006. She also spent countless hours volunteering for local organizations.
