Last week, Prescott Valley Animal Control Supervisor Tim Yogerst responded to a call for a stray cat found near Goodwill. The cat did not have a microchip or collar. Because the Humane Society was full, they could not take the feline, so the cat stayed with Animal Control over the weekend while officers searched for the owners. Through social media channels, the owners, who live in their RV and were in the parking lot of the store when the cat, named “Memphis,” escaped, were found. After a fruitless search for the cat, the owners posted on social media that they had to travel to Peoria. Before they left, they were contacted by Animal Control and on Tuesday, Memphis was reunited with his owners.
