Man rams vehicle into Prescott Valley business while trying to get to his girlfriend who he had assaulted

Monday afternoon Prescott Valley Police responded to a business in the 6400-block of East 2-nd Street on a report a man was ramming his vehicle into the business. Dispatch received several phone calls of a vehicle driving erratically and “doing doughnuts” in a parking lot. The driver then drove the vehicle into a roll-up door of the business, attempting to break into the building. Unable to make entry, the driver fled the scene, but not before causing about $75,000 in damage to the building and inventory inside the building. Spokesman Jerry Ferguson says the investigation determined that 29-year old Jody Crispin had assaulted his girlfriend in the parking lot and she ran into the store for help. Employees locked Crispin out at which time he began to ram the building. Crispin was later located and jailed on several felony charges.
