Some structures lost due to the Ranch Fire north of Congress

YCSO sent a CODE RED “Get Ready” message to ranchers north of Congress due to a wildfire. The Ranch Fire on Ox Ranch was first reported this afternoon at around 2-pm and is located about 9-miles northwest of Congress. State Fire officials say two unknown structures at the point of origin of the fire were destroyed and the fire is threatening 5 other structures. YCSO has evacuated 8-residences. State Fire has assumed primary firefighting efforts and is assisting Wickenburg, Congress and Yarnell Fire personnel. Aircraft and ground crews have responded to the fire and are working to protect the threatened structures. There’s no word on what type of structures burned.
