Fire at Congress Grocery Store ruled suspicious

YCSO responded to the Congress Grocery Store in Congress at 1:30-am Tuesday morning for an alarm call. Spokesman Dwight D’Evelyn says prior to arrival, deputies were notified that a smoke alarm had been activated. Congress Fire personnel were on scene and extinguished the fire. During an examination of the building, deputies discovered that a person or persons had accessed the roof area and appeared to have altered some of the vent covers. He says the fire has been ruled suspicious.
