Prescott Valley Town Manager Larry Tarkowski announced Monday that effective immediately, Deputy Police Chief James Edelstein will serve as interim Police Chief for the town. The Town has secured the services of Peckham and McKenney to begin the search for a new police chief to replace recently retired Chief Bryan Jarrell. The process could result in a selection early this fall. Deputy Chief Edelstein has served the Town for over 20-years as a law enforcement officer in various capacities including a previous stint as Interim Chief.
