A truck thief wanted by YCSO turned himself in. Spokesman Dwight D’Evelyn says Tuesday afternoon 20-year old Benjamin Blasco turned himself in to the Mayer Sheriff’s sub-station and admitted to stealing the truck. Blasco was booked into the Camp Verde Jail on charges including theft of a vehicle, burglary and criminal damage. The truck was stolen from the Mayer victim’s driveway Saturday night. D’Evelyn says the owner admitted to leaving the vehicle unlocked and the keys were in it, which made it very easy for Blasco to steal.
