Flagstaff and Summit Fire responded to a house fire on Marilee Lane in Doney Park Wednesday afternoon. Officials say due to a lack of hydrants in the area, a water tender responded for a water supply. Crews initially made entry into the home for an offensive attack, but due to the difficulties of getting into the house and the fire’s rapid growth, they were forced back outside. Once the fire was knocked down they were able to go back inside. Officials say they had to go back to the same house again on Thursday morning because the fire reignited and began to spread in the high winds. Crews controlled the fire again; the cause of the fire is under investigation.
