Fire specialists from the Tonto National Forest are burning piles through Wednesday near the Vista Verde subdivision from 136th Street to 170th Street, north of Rio Verde/Dynamite Drive., and through Thursday just north of Payson and Home Depot on the west side of Highway 87. Residents and visitors can expect to see and smell light-to-moderate amounts of smoke in the area.
