Jerome Fire responds to motorcycle down with critical injuries.

Saturday afternoon, Jerome Fire responded to a single vehicle accident near the switchbacks on 89A outside of town. Chief Rusty Blair says the call came in for a motorcycle down with significant injuries shortly after 3pm. Upon arrival, crews found two riders with serious to critical injuries. Blair says, though the roads were clear, weather conditions prohibited the landing of a rescue helicopter, so the victims had to be transported by ground to VVMC. He says both lanes were blocked for some time then traffic was allowed by using one lane.
