Public meetings for the Fossil Creek Draft River Management Plan that were canceled due to the partial government shutdown have been rescheduled. Coconino National Forest officials say the public meetings will take place next Monday at the Pine Senior Center in Pine, February 20-th at the Camp Verde Library and the 21-st at the Coconino National Forest Office on Thompson Street in Flagstaff. Each meeting will run from 5:30-to-7-pm. In addition the public comment period has been extended to April 4-th. At this stage in the project, five management alternatives are being considered that would provide for different visitor capacities, recreation and transportation infrastructure, and recreation experiences. More information can be found on the Coconino National Forest website.
