Idaho man armed with knives shot and killed by Flagstaff Police

There was an officer involved shooting in Flagstaff Sunday morning. Flagstaff Police Sgt Charles Hernandez says two officers leaving The Guidance Center on a call where confronted by 47-year old Russell Harold of Idaho who was armed with 2 knives. The confrontation escalated when Harold approached an officer having the knives raised toward the officer. As the officer backed away from Harold, he gave Harold commands to drop the knives. Harold charged the officer having a knife in each hand which forced the officer to fire at Harold. He was taken to FMC where he died from his injuries. Officer Tyler Romney was not injured. The incident remains under investigation.
