Cottonwood Police arrested a woman on charges she stole over $7,600 from her employer. Sgt Monica Kuhlt says 32-year old Alexandria Lievanos was working for the Maverik Country Store. Maverik management conducted an internal investigation after they noticed a pattern of financial loss centered around Lievanos’ shifts. Their surveillance cameras showed Lievanos taking thousands of dollars-worth of scratch tickets, lottery tickets and cash from the register in a span of two months. She was terminated. Lievanos told investigators she was stealing to provide for her family.
