Coconino National Forest fire managers are burning slash piles near Flagstaff and on Lake Mary Road. The burning will continue, weather permitting. Crews are burning large slash piles near the base of Mount Elden and two small pile burns near the Mormon Lake and Mormon Guard workstations. Crews may also treat several piles in the Dry Lake area as part of the Flagstaff Watershed Protection Project. The piles are located at the base of Mount Elden.
