Fuels reduction efforts on the Williams Ranger District of the Kaibab National Forest will continue into next week. Machine piles on two separate timber sale units have been evaluated and are suitable for burning. 383-acres of piles north of Parks are being burned this weekend with another 200-acres scheduled for burning early next week southwest of Dogtown Lake. Fire Managers are trying to get caught up with their winter burning scheduled after being furloughed for 5-weeks.
