Perdue Foods is recalling over 68,000 pounds of Simply Smart-Organic-Gluten-Free chicken nuggets over fears of wood contamination. The ready-to-eat chicken nuggets were produced on Oct. 25th and have an expiration date of Oct. 25th, 2019, and UPC Bar Code “72745-80656” on the label. They were shipped to retail locations nationwide. No injuries or illnesses were reported. The problem was discovered when the firm received three consumer complaints that wood was found in the product.
