Prescott Valley Police respond to a three-vehicle collision in rainy weather.

On Tuesday afternoon, Prescott Valley Police responded to a multiple vehicle crash possibly caused by excessive speeds in the inclement weather. Spokesman Jerry Ferguson says 27 year old Prescott Valley resident Joshua Walter Klein was traveling southeast on State Route 69 approaching Fain Road at excessive speed and passing vehicles on the left in the median. At this point he lost control of his vehicle east of Fain Road. His vehicle entered westbound lanes striking two vehicles. Klein was driving a Jeep 4 door station wagon which sustained extensive damage and had to be towed from the scene. Klein was transported to Yavapai Regional Medical Center – East by Lifeline Ambulance. Though no one else was injured, a second vehicle, driven by 48-year old Dawn Byers of Camp Verde, and a third driven by 31-year old Dyllan Blain of Dewey-Humbolt were also involved. Ferguson says the investigation is still ongoing to ascertain if driving impairment contributed to the accident.
