The city of Sedona has contracted with RoadBotics, an infrastructure technology company that uses Artificial Intelligence, to assess roadway conditions. RoadBotics vehicles have started cruising around city streets collecting video data which is then uploaded to the cloud, where the company’s Artificial Intelligence algorithms analyze the images to generate a map with road condition scores and images for approximately every 10 foot section of road. The city will use this information to plan and implement road surface improvements.
