The National Weather Service in Bellemont issued a Winter Weather Advisory for elevations above 7,000 from Tuesday morning at 5-am through Wednesday morning at 5-am. Periods of rain and high elevation snow will continue through Wednesday morning. Warmer air is expected with this system and snow levels will be high. Most areas below 7000 feet will see rain, or an occasional rain and wet snow mix. Any accumulations will be above 7000 feet, which excludes much of the Flagstaff area. Total snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches are expected above 7000 feet, 2 to 4 inches above 7500 feet and highly localized amounts of 6 to 8 inches above 8000 feet. A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.
