)-12/19/18 Highway 89A in West Sedona was closed in both directions for a major accident yesterday afternoon. Sedona Fire Captain Patrick Ojeda says crews responded to the area just west of the Brewer Road roundabout for the crash. Ojeda says the initial report came in as a vehicle versus bicycle but enroute it was updated to a two vehicle head-on. He says one patient was flown to FMC for serious injuries and another taken to VVMC for possible serious injuries. The road was closed in both directions for around two hours.
