Suicide Prevention Coalition of Yavapai County is hosting a free presentation Wednesday.

The Suicide Prevention Coalition of Yavapai County is hosting a free presentation entitled “We Need to Talk”. Coalition Chairman John Schuderer says Yavapai County now ranks as the highest completed deaths by suicide per capita in the state. The current average age for suicide deaths is 55, however young adults, adolescents and children are increasing in numbers of both attempted and completed suicides. The presentation will be held at 6:30 pm next Wednesday, at the Clemenceau Building Auditorium on North Willard Street in Cottonwood. Attendees will learn how to recognize the signs, abolish myths and what resources are available in the Verde Valley.
