Coconino National Forest Fire managers will be conducting prescribed burns and slash pile burns near Flagstaff and southwest of Clints Well throughout next week. On Monday, fire managers are planning to conduct a 3-acre prescribed burn near Badersville and possibly up to 500 acres more in the area northeast of Badersville if conditions allow. Also on Monday, fire managers near Clints Well plan to burn slash piles located about 5 miles southwest of Clints Well off Highway 87. Smoke will be visible during the day and could settle at night into low lying areas near these burn sites.
