Chino Valley receives $24,000 grant from GOHS.

The Chino Valley Police Department has been awarded grant from the Arizona Governor’s Office of Highway Safety (GOHS). In part being used to fund officer overtime for staffing impaired driving and speed enforcement details, the grant award of $24,300.00 also covers the purchase of three solar-powered speed display signs which will be placed near Del Rio School and Heritage Middle School. These signs will alert drivers that they are approaching a school zone and display their speed. Officials are asking the public to report areas they feel additional traffic enforcement is needed in Chino Valley by calling the Department.
