Tuesday’s wet weather caused a series of crashes that forced the closure of southbound I-17. DPS say shortly after 5-pm, Troopers responded to multiple crashes along 7-miles of the interstate, just south of the Highway-169 junction. Officials say one crash involved a semi. No injuries were reported, however it did take some 4-hours to remove all the wreckage. DPS closed the interstate at Highway-169 to create an alternate route; traffic stuck within the 7-miles of crashes was guided out of the area by Troopers. Motorists are reminded to slow down when driving during bad weather.
