YCSO trying to identify two counterfeit money suspects

YCSO is looking for help in identifying two counterfeit money suspects. Spokesman Dwight D’Evelyn says deputies responded to the Family Dollar Store in Cordes Lakes Saturday night on a fraud report. The reporting party told deputies that a couple came into the store around 6:30 PM, and after shopping came to the register to pay with cash. The couple was captured on camera footage. The male was described as Caucasian, about 6 feet tall, grey buzzed hair, a goatee, and wearing a black jacket. The female was described as dark skinned, approximately 5’5″ with bleached blond shoulder length hair, wearing a black shirt and athletic black pants. They made separate transactions at the register, each paying with a fraudulent $100 bill. D’Evelyn says the couple told the clerk they were from Phoenix and headed for Prescott Valley.
