DPS responded to multiple back to back vehicle collisions on southbound I-17 Sunday afternoon hat snarled traffic for hours. The first, was a single vehicle roll over on southbound I-17 near Black Canyon City. Spokesman Quentin Mehr says a driver lost control of her vehicle while attempting to avoid a collision with another vehicle that had allegedly cut her off. Her vehicle rolled over and came to a stop. She was transported to a local area hospital for minor injuries. The second was a three vehicle collision that occurred near Highway 69. Mehr says a pickup rear ended a passenger vehicle, which in turn, rear ended a van. There were no injuries. And shortly after there was a two vehicle collision south of Camp Verde where the driver of a pickup truck was slowing for slow traffic head of it and the driver of a passenger vehicle failed to slow and rear ended the pickup. One person was admitted to a local hospital, two others were treated and released for minor injuries. Driver inattention was a contributing factor in each incident.
