A Grand Canyon National Park ranger was involved in an officer involved shooting early this morning. Park officials say the involved ranger and the suspect sustained minor injuries. The suspect was taken to an area hospital for treatment. The NPS’s Investigative Services Branch or ISB responded and is handling the investigation and the FBI was notified. The ranger has been placed on administrative leave while the investigation takes place. No other details have been released at this time.
